Lingcod

Lingcod is a bold, meaty white fish known for its firm texture, strong presence, and versatility in everyday cooking.

About Lingcod

Lingcod is one of the most recognizable nearshore predators in Alaska waters — striking in appearance and assertive in behavior. While very large lingcod can become tough or mealy, smaller to medium fish are highly prized for their texture and flavor. When harvested at the right size, lingcod delivers a satisfying, substantial bite without drying out or turning stringy.

Flavor & Texture

Lingcod has a firm, meaty texture with more flavor than Pacific Cod, while remaining milder and more forgiving than halibut. It holds moisture well through cooking and doesn’t break down easily, making it a reliable option for bold, everyday meals.

How It’s Offered

Raw:
Lingcod is offered as fresh-frozen portions, carefully cut to remove bones and highlight the best portions of the fish. Smaller to medium fish are preferred for their superior texture and consistency.
