Welcome to Kodiak Island Smokehouse! We’re committed to offering premium wild-caught seafood and custom processing services with transparency and care. By using our website and placing orders with us, you agree to the following terms:

Ordering and Payment

You can place an online order at any time during our months of operation (see below). We are also available to assist you with questions or orders during our regular business hours.

We accept all major credit cards for payment. If you experience any problems placing an order, please call us at (907) 486-6455—we’re happy to help!

Payment for services and products is due at the time of service.

We are happy to fill custom orders as well. To place a custom order, please call (907) 486-6455 or email us at KISmokehouse@gmail.com.

Note: Some of our products are priced by the pound. We provide estimated weight ranges for these items, but natural variation does occur. We do our best to meet your expectations within the stated range.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer for any reason.

Product Availability

We regularly update our website to reflect current product availability. However, because we also serve wholesale customers who may place large orders, inventory can change quickly.

If an item in your order becomes unavailable, we will contact you by phone or email to discuss options.

Pricing Changes

Our pricing is influenced by seasonal availability and market conditions. We reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly without prior notice.

Order Cancellation and Modification

We will honor order cancellation and modification requests whenever possible.
However, if your order has already been packed for shipment, changes may not be possible.

Returns

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns.

We believe in maintaining the highest quality standards—and that means you’ll only ever receive products that have been within our control from start to finish.

If you have any concerns about your order, please reach out to us immediately.

Shipping

To maintain product quality, all orders containing perishable items require Next Day Air shipping.

We strongly encourage someone to be available at the delivery address to immediately receive, refrigerate, or freeze perishable products upon arrival.

  • Orders are carefully packed in insulated shipping boxes with maximum temperature control.
  • We ship via FedEx and UPS to destinations within the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
  • Perishable orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday only. Non-perishable items may ship via two-day air services.
  • Ground services are not available due to our remote island location.

Important:
We cannot ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
If shipping to a gated residence, please ensure access is available for delivery drivers.

Damaged Shipments

We take every precaution to ensure your order is carefully packed and protected.
However, once a package leaves our facility, it is in the care of third-party shipping carriers. Inclement weather, carrier delays, or unforeseen events may occasionally affect delivery times.

We strongly recommend selecting Next Day Air for all perishable orders to maintain optimal quality.
We do not guarantee the condition of products shipped via Second Day Air or lower-priority services.

Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival.
If your package appears damaged, tampered with, or significantly delayed, contact us right away at (907) 486-6455.
Depending on the situation, we may be able to assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.

Important:
By placing an order, you accept full responsibility for the shipment and agree not to hold Kodiak Island Smokehouse liable for any loss, delay, spoilage, damage, or misplacement.
You further agree not to dispute charges based on shipping-related issues.
Kodiak Island Smokehouse is not responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, or thawed products caused by carrier issues, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, weather events, or missed delivery attempts.
Shipping fees are non-refundable, and replacement of products is not guaranteed if shipping disruptions occur.
